Can anyone tell me why the Matt Brown vs. Pete Sell fight is on the main card over Vera's fight or even the Brilz vs. Boetsch fight? This org. drives me nuts sometimes. You'd think they'd realize that Vera is a guy they should be marketing at 205lbs.

Sell has been overrated for his entire career... and Brown? can't believe he's in the UFC at this point.

Cuz Matt Brown is a merciless killer that will throttle the likes of anyone that messes with his dip.
I think that they are fucking with Vera because this is the last fight on his contract and he has been stinking the place up since he resigned.

Because Vera looks like an Ethiopian that's going to be knocked out of the UFC tonight.

Vera is gonna bounce back. But some of the udercard fights should be on the main card and vise versa. Its a growing trend in the UFC for some reason.

Fuck Vera that guy sucks and IMHO this is another weak card put on by the UFC. There are really just two fights that I want to see. The rest are just meh.

Vera does have skill.
I really hope he does bounce back. I don't really like him. But I like to watch him fight.

i don't get why the ufc keeps bringing sell back, besides the fact that idiot fans love to see middling fighters with KO power swinging for the fences.

my sentiments, exactly.

Yeah... I'm not the biggest Vera fan either but I think he could be a force at 205 if he'd just put on a touch of muscle and then re-cut... even at 205 he looks like he could cut some fat and then put muscle back on.
I will NEVER understand why some of the guys in the higher weight divisions aren't absolutely ripped with 6% body fat or something like that...
With that being said, Vera can still do damage at this weight.
Sell is worthless though... they cut Scott Smith but keep putting Sell on main cards - great!!!
I got GG over Carwin by any way he wants... then again - he's 257??? WTF!?! he should be like 240 and a cardio machine - instead, he does just enough... really fucking annoying.
Jackson embarrasses Jardine btw... his boxing is waaaaaay too much for 98% of the lhw division - not that he's a world class boxer by any means.

Rampage is not a world class boxer. But he has enough boxing to fuck up most of these LHW guys in the UFC.

Jardine should take Rampage down and ground and pound. He has no chance if he tries to stand and trade with Page.

Rampage has excellent wrestling. Something he hasn't shown in awhile.
I doubt Jardine can actually take him down.
lol this isn't that hard to figure out. both guy like to stand and trade until someone falls down, and people like to see this kind of "ultimate boxing." as an added bonus, it most likely won't run 15 minutes and they will be able to show an undercard fight or two because of this.

Don't be wack, Wigg... Gonzaga should be a cardio machine as far as HW's go - if he was actually motivated to be the champ. There's really no excuse for being so overweight as a professional fighter. With all of his tools, GG should be working like a monster in the gym.... and remember - that's all comparative - he's a HW, so naturally he won't go as long as a MW or WW.
If that guy came into this fight at 242 or something like that - looking ripped and focused, then I'd really be excited about him..
But he's never had good cardio. Are you saying that no fighter should ever have cardio issues?

I don't see why these fights can't. If this is their profession then they should focus on all aspect to improve upon. Cardio should be one of the main priorities.

He was clearly in better shape when he fought Crocop.. he's a professional fighter - he should have absolutely fantastic cardio. There's no excuse for fighters coming into fights out of shape - especially not in the UFC where they get up to 4 months of notice for their bouts.
