Solid, do you hate Mousasi?
Barack Lesnar

You usually root against fighters you don't like and considering you've picked Soko as a winner (even if you've said many times he is a can), i thought you were hating on Mousasi.

I've only asked you if you were somehow a Mousasi hater, that's it.
Btw lol at you proudly showing some mmapg stats like if they really mean something about your MMA knowledge.
Barack Lesnar
03-27-2009, 11:55 AM
no, mousasi is good but he's not that good to move up to lhw against a dangerous opponent such as soakajew

Gegard should have this in the box, but Soko can knock anyone out at any time.

Lol, no.
It's like saying someone who has good picks about soccer, basket or whatever you prefer, knows the sport better than a professional athlete. There might be some exceptions but a professional athlete > random fan with good picks.
Really know fighting (striking, grappling etc) > some stats on a site.
Even more considering many people (i'm not talking about you, but in general) just copy their picks looking throughout hundreds of discussions on different forums.

I would say that in many aspects, diehard fans know more about the sport than the ones who participate. A lot of analysts in many sports have never competed in said sport.

He is young, has a lot of potential, puts on quite exciting fights and has enough experience to be called a veteran by mmajunkie's journalists.

Beating a couple top ten guys in a row with huge knockouts will do that for a guy.
Even after that, he got whooped by the best LHW in the world, was winning but gassed against an up and comer, then was beating Babalu until he gassed again. Dude needs to lost some muscle mass or fight at HW.

He's too short to be a real contender at HW.
Imo LHW is the right place for him, he only needs to somehow find a way to have a decent cardio.

I like to see Houston fight....

he is in his early 20's i think and has the size but his performance is disappointing (to me) every time I see him fight, he is much like Henderson on that aspect...I expect too much I think. At least they aren't fighting cans, that would make it a lot worse.

I'm not sure what his height is. But he reminds me of Overeem, and I think a move to HW would help his cardio. He's no smaller than guys like Dos Santos.

I understand that sometimes there are adrenaline dumps, and there's nothing you can do to prepare for it, but that excuse can't be an every fight thing.

Penn doesn't always train hard enough. That's not an excuse, it's a fault of his.

He might even be shorter than that, Arona (listed as 5'11) looks a little bit taller than him during the staredown of their fight
