Bad stoppage, but he was going to get ko'd. He took four straight shots, and his legs wobbled badly. The ref panicked with all the blood and the wobbly legs. Thompson was about to be out anyway.

Punch drunk and the fact that his ear was split in half, I can give the ref the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure he regretted stepping in as soon as he did it though. JT has a stupid "I'm about to fall over" look on his face, but then again he had that for the entire second round.

Poor JT. He took all that punishment to not get KOd, which would've been the only acceptable finish in his eyes. Poor JT twice over.

He's improved a lot though: landed a stiff jab and an inside low kick that almost tripped Kimbo. Remember how awful he used to be? I hope EXC keeps him on for some more fights.

first of all he looks like a mutant now with his one fucked up ear and the lazy eye...
he also apparently doesnt throw strikes at all anymore,he gets the takedown and hardly does any damage... what the fuck?!
how can the warwagon exist with performances like this?

Bullshit stoppage. Kimbo took like 30-40 unanswered elbows on the ground and they didn't call it. Sure they weren't doing all that much damage but he sure as fuck wasn't intelligently defending himself. Shitty night of fights altogether, fuck that roided up nigger loving ref.

i was surprised the ref didn't stop the fight in round two--kimbo was not intelligently defending himself for an entire minute or so.

Yeah, JT looked like was going down. He looked the same in the second round, Took kimbo down and won that one. Pretty much both main event fights got stopped prematurely IMO. Not exactly the perfect card to put on broadcast TV IMO.

That was a bullshit stoppage. I think JT would have been knocked out in about 20 more seconds, but he was winning the fight decisively before that. If the guy's winning the fight, you can stop it because his legs get wobbled and he has a bloody ear. If he had gotten his ass beaten for 3 rounds, and then that happens you could make a case for stopping it, but not if the guy's winning it.

I don't think they should have stopped it in the second round. JT wasn't doing any damage at all. Sure you have to intelligently defend yourself, but the guy has to be damaging you, too. Those elbows wouldn't have crushed a grape. Also, Kimbo moved his head every now and then, and put his arm in the way. He was just gassed; he wasn't hurt.

Fuck Shaw.

Look at this video, Shaw is trying to justify the stoppage saying JT is in the hospital in horrible shape and to send your prayers. Then the camera pans over and JT is just chillin drinking his water.
