copy and paste, take this one home
The card has been plagued by a number of injuries sustained by scheduled fighters, forcing the UFC to rework the card several times.
Originally, the main event was to be between light heavyweights Chuck Liddell and Mauricio Rua; however, Rua required surgery on an injured knee and could not compete. Rashad Evans then replaced Rua in the main event with Liddell, but Liddell was forced to withdraw from the card due to a hamstring injury.
The UFC then named James Irvin as Liddell's replacement to fight Evans, but Irvin sustained a foot injury that forced him to pull out. Evans has now been removed from the card as well. The main event is currently set for Matt Hughes against Thiago Alves.
I think hughes + werdum will win, adn... yeah. okay. bye

I'm going. I've had my ticket since Shogun was still on the card.
I'm gonna head up for the weigh-ins on Friday too. We get a Q&A with Chuck. At 75 we got a Q&A with Dana and Rogan whic was prety cool.
The card isn't great but it could be worse. I'm gutted not to be seeing any of my favourite UFC fighters but oh well. These things happen.
It's nothing like the 75 card but I'm hopeful a few fights will be really good.

I'm sure it will still be fun to go to. Buying the ppv? I dunno about that. It's a tough sell with that card.

Marcus Davis vs swick should be good, Paul Taylor vs Jess Liudin should be good, Kampmann vs Rivera should be good, Hardonk Vs Eddie Sanchez if it stays standing should be good, Tavares and Wiman COULD be good, Hughes alves COULD be good.
Its not a bad card at all in my opinion, it lacks the star power, but it has some really exciting fighters.

Who do I have to cyber around here for secret links to watch PPVS?
No way I'm buying this one, so it's either I watch the high-lights the next morning or I'm shit outta luck.

Exactly my feelings. I probably won't pay for it, hell I only buy maybe 3 or 4 a year, but all are intriguing match ups. Probably more than your average big single or double main event with star power.
ALVES FOR THE WIN
I hope he wins, but I don't see it happening.

I it always seems to me that cards that appear boring on paper tend to have a bunch of KO's or intense battles that get you spilling your beer.
Sometimes you may not be excited that a card is lacking a few sweet matchups but always remember the level of talent on every UFC card.
Go to a sports bar and shell out 10 bucks. Get a few pitchers and enjoy. Sounds good to me.
I wanna see if Hughes can keep up his previous smashings.

I know some people weren't too excited about the last card. Saying there was only 3 fights on it. It was a great night of fights.
