Watch the vid. I think he was still loopy from getting piledrivered. I don't think he understood post fight that it was a win on paper only. The fucking guy was talking about "the belt".

I agree that they are both tough SOB's, but he seemed like he was looking past Marquardt now. I wouldn't doubt that he doesn't want to go back there mentally. Not once did he mention a rematch, as if he had passed the test and it was time to move on to bigger things.

To me the fight should be a no contest after the knee. I know he said he was fine but are you really able to make a rational decision after a shot like that? I think Rogan said something about it affecting you for the rest of the fight and I agree.

That being said, I though Nate looked awesome. I would pick him in a rematch. And no, I don't think leites is ready for a title shot.

In retrospect the piledriver is illegal under the unified rules. But IMO the person getting spiked should lose the round 10-8, cuz that's the ultimate pwnage. The rules of scoring are effective 1)striking, 2)aggression, 3)octogon/cage control.

1)The spikee's head strikes the mat forcefully, 2) To spike someone you have to be pretty aggressive, 3) You have your opponent completely inverted.

Theres nothing wrong with winning a hard fought fight Nate could have been DQed but Thale fought through props to him.
