Tuchscherer in major trouble. Gonzaga stands, and Tuchscherer stays on his knee, slowly rising as Gonzaga leaps in for more punishment. Tuchscherer is a bloody mess, and the fight needs to be stopped. It finally, mercifully is. Probably not what Tuchscherer had in mind for his UFC debut.

Simpson throws a few wild shots on the mat, but Herman hangs in and regains his composure. Herman pulls guard, but Simpson backs away. Herman follows to his feet. Simpson lands a right hand and a takedown, then lands a flurry on the ground. Simpson stands again and the first round ends. MMAjunkie.com sees it easily for Simpson, 10-9.
