Mexico is too far behind in terms of football americana being a sport for them. That's why America always shits the bed in the World Cup.

lol @ mexicans playing football
Well here is the final score:
NCAA 12 - Mexico 24
There are over 60 American private Football Clubs only in Mexico City, kids can start playing at age 4. That might gave some heads up of how popular American Football is in Mexico.
In fact, is the only amateur sport in the nation that can filled up stadiums around the country.

That is what the coach and players of the NCAA were saying right before the game, wonder what they are thinking now. :roflnut:

D-3 had their championship game today, so I'm assuming that nobody from the top 4 teams in D-3 were playing.

Or for anyone that was in the playoffs for that matter.

Still not bad for a 3rd world country football program right?

They did have lot of all american in their roster so it not like all the good guys stayed in the Us.

I know there's a bunch of Mexican Raiders and Cowboys fans. I'm not surprised that the NFL has a following in Mexico.
They keep talking about expanding to Europe, where nobody gives a fuck, but Canada and Mexico are right there for the taking - and there's plenty of American Football fans in both countries.

Be nice, people. I'm sure it means a lot to the Mexicans.

49ers, Dolphins, Steelers, Chicago fans as well, almost every University here in Mexico has a football program and this games US vs Mexico had been played since 1950.
Football is a big thing in here and is not just a recent thing.

Next year we might go for the worst team of division I and so on :beerbang:

Well, Americanborn and Jihad told me in a recent thread I made that an All Star Division III will kick ass to almost any Division II teams, it seems you guy have an excuse to any loss.
An All Star Public University team from Mexico beat a Division II team, two weeks ago, Mexico won 42 - 17 and they said it wasnt a big deal.
If they sent mount union or wisc ww down there the score would be 77-0
That is what many gringos told me before this game and look what happen, so you never know.
I appreciate your passion for a great sport, but it means dick.
It didnt meant dick to the Us players and the Us coaches that came here thinking they were going to have a walk in the park, believe.

It isnt really a big deal to the US. Division 3 and 2 are the bottom half of the college football spectrum. You have a link to a replay of the game?

Dolphins fans? WTF.

when Dan Marino was drafted and played in the 80's the Dolphins gain a lot of fans especially little kids of those days, im one of them since 1985, they do have a lot of fans in here believe me.
i never knew this, would be cool if they put the shit on tv over here
NFL games and NCAA games are shown in Mexican TV since I can remember im 33 yrs old and I saw those games live since I was 4 or 5 yrs old, and now with cable TV can see almost every game, we even have the NFL network.
My dad played Football in the late 50's we had that game since forever, since those days Mexico played vs the Us at college level.
I mention thise before, football is the only amateur game that can filled up stadiums here in Mexico.
vlad you guys got a lot of youth programs for this over there? what age do some of these guys start playing?
Yes, just in Mexico City they have over 60 football clubs that have kids since 4 yrs old until 15 or 16 then, and then there is highschool and college level, almos every university (Private or Public) has a football program.
I live in Monterrey a city close to Texas, we have over 30 diffrent football clubs for kids and then we have over 50 high schools and Universities with football progrmas just here in this state, if you are good player you can get a schoolarship for the top university wich is the one that played the Us last saturday, take a look at this pics, this are 4 yr olds playing it rough:
