Anyone that can should check out the fights on HBO tonight. Two of the brightest most exciting young stars are both fighting in featherweight world title fights, setting up a unification match between the two sometime in the summer if they both come out with the win tonight. I know alot of you guys are former boxing fans that have drifted away from the bullshit politics and corruption, but I seriously recommend tonights fights, they are gonna be great.

The co-main event stars Yuriorkis Gamboa, the WBA featherweight champion from Cuba with a record of 16-0 with 14 of his wins coming by KO.

The main event features Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez who sports a record of 27-0 with 24 KOs moving up in weight to challenge the WBO featherweight champion.

Gamboa was superb. Very, very impressive. I'll honestly say that if I ever hear of him fighting, I will tune in.

Lopez kind of got overshadowed by the spectacle that was Gamboa, but he was crisp and finished off his opponent. His opponent had zero power at all (record of 37-1-1 with 15 KOs) and I was about to turn it off when he got KO'd.

I LOL'd when Kellerman and Lennox had a disagreement around the 4th round of the Lopez fight. Lennox seems too nice to argue with anyone and Kellerman didn't want to take umbridge because, well, he's Lennox fucking Lewis.

My only gripe of the whole night (besides recording in standard def by mistake) was that the event had a 2-hour time slot yet only showed 24 minutes of boxing. But overall, being the first boxing I've watched in years, I thought it was entertaining.
