There is no greater advantage in sports than having "home" advantage. The winner of the All-Star game wins "home field" advantage for the team that makes it to the World Series for that league. That means that a team could theoretically go undefeated and still not "earn" the home field advantage in the World Series! No, that privileged is awarded based on a mid season exhibition game, played for the fans. A game that the managers are expected to get ALL of their players into. That means if a pitcher strikes out the side/is pitching great, he's gonna get pulled to let the next fuck in... Etc., etc. You see what I'm getting at here. Its stupid, and I resent the fuck out of it!

Yeah I see what you mean. It shouldn't decide home-field advantage but I enjoy watching it.

At least they are playing for something. It'd be nice to see the NL win one though.

At least the NL won. It'll be nice to see the Cubs (if/when they make the World Series) with the home field advantage this October.
