We beat the hell out of Tennessee, never lost a game by more than 7 points, lost to Georgia by 3 points (in OT), lost to LSU by 3 points in the last couple minutes. I'm kinda surprised we ranked that high, but we could've (SHOULD'VE) beaten LSU and Georgia at least and maybe made it into the top 10 last year.

Kentuck kind of showed the recipe for how to beat Bama. Put up a strong defensive front with extra guys in the box, and let your DBs play man coverage. Except for the long run by Coffee, it worked. Of course, two missed field goals and a fumble in the red zone didn't really help either. Bama has a few things to work on in the bye week. Special teams, passing game, and defensive secondary all have me worried. But still, they avoided the upset in a hangover game so that's good. RTR!

I'm not saying Bama's schedule is that tough, but what I'm saying is I don't think the schedules of Florida, Texas, and Texas Tech are any tougher. A couple wins that standout more than the others, but nothing too surprising if you take in consideration that after the first few weeks we had a pretty good idea of what teams were likely to be going to the NC (with the possible exception of TT).

As for Bama's biggest win, that one is a toss-up. I think their "most impressive" win was probably Georgia, but in my opinion their "biggest" win in terms of boosting pride, morale, and spirit was over LSU. One of our biggest rivals and even though they've lost a couple games this season they are still a very big, very physical football team and as a Bama fan that win was huge, especially considering if it weren't for a couple stupid mistakes we could've comfortably won that game in regulation.

As for top ten opponents, I guess you mean current top ten? Yeah you got me there, but Clemson and Georgia were top 10 when we played them. Plus rankings don't really mean a lot I don't think. They can be a good indicator on a team's strength but they certainly aren't decisive. Boise and Utah are both top ten, both undefeated. Would anybody be surprised if they played one of the current top 4 teams and got blown out of the fucking water? I wouldn't.

My whole thing was with people acting like Bama's schedule is on the weak side and Texas/TT's schedules are grueling or something. There really isn't much difference that I can tell. I won't say that Bama definitely deserves the #1 spot no questions asked, but I think their defense is the reason they're #1. Texas/TT/Florida are all much more impressive offensively in my opinion. Now the question people are asking isn't "Can Alabama beat these teams" it's "Can these teams' offenses beat Alabama's defense?"

Agreed, I'm totally biased also. I'm getting mentally prepared for UF to win but you just can't count this Alabama team out. You gotta love the match up with the contrasting styles. The smart money is on UF but my heart says Bama. I think Bama has a chance to win by running the ball, controlling the clock, keeping Tebow off the field and taking Florida out of their game. Did you watch the game? Maybe I'm a bit biased, but I thought Bama and Florida were very evenly matched. It was back and forth with Bama up 20-17 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Florida made a couple big plays in the 4th and did a great job of melting the clock.

It was a close call. I don't think anyone would be too critical of the ref if he hadn't called it. I still think they probably would have converted the 4th down if it had come to that. The game was decided by 6 or 7 plays and that was just one of them. As i said before, the better team won but Alabama was right there. And most people I know that are not bama fans and don't follow the sec that closely have more respect for Bama now than they did before the game.
