i'm so confusid. minus 4 implies less than
If you bet on Texas, they have to win by more than 4 points. So if the score is 28-23 Texas, you win. But if the score is 24-21 Texas you lose the bet because Texas only won by 3 points and not the 4 that they had to win by to cover the bet.

in the sportsbook, you get your money back if you bet off the board, but off a card, ties win.
Board means a list of different games and different teams like we do for the NFL and card means one game in particular like this one?

a card is a list of set lines that come out a wednesday on a card, they have numbers next to the team and you fill in little bubbles at the bottom like a scantron, the board is a giant digital board with up to date spreads located behind the tellers... they also have #s next to the spread. If you go up to a teller and say "let me get Mizzou +4" they're usually a dickhead and are like "Straight bet or parlay?! What's the #?! I can't memorize everthing!".
