MATT BROWN VS. RYAN THOMAS

Round 1 - Thomas throws early leg kicks and then defends Brown's big punches. After a clinch, both fighters jockey for position, and Thomas takes the dominant side-control position. Brown backs to the cage, but Thomas delivers a barrage of punches as his opponent tries to get back to his feet. Brown eats punishment but does get it standing again. Clinched against the fence, the welterweights trade knees before Thomas forces the fight to the ground again. Brown gets to his knees and then to his feet, but he again eats punches in the process. Thomas gets the underhooks and keeps Brown pushed against the fence and delivers some foot stomps. Thomas again sends the fight to the ground, and Brown secures guard. Brown then locks in a triangle and then transitions to an arm-bar as Thomas tries to slam out f it. A sparse early crowd senses a finish and begins cheering, but Thomas hangs tough, avoids the arm-bar and then maneuvers out of a kimura. Back to guard, Brown delivers elbows from his back that do some damage, he stands up and delivers a power shot. Brown uses the opportunity to reverse his position and now works from inside Thomas's guard. Brown does little damage and then allows Thomas to stand, at which time Brown locks in a guillotine as he falls to his back. Thomas escapes as the round ends. It's all Thomas as MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 in his favor.

Round 2 - The fighters trade leather early, and Brown starts to find his mark. Thomas, though, scores the takedown. Brown locks in an arm-bar, and Thomas tries to slam out of it -- again and again. After nearly a half minute of working for it, Thomas finally relents to Brown's efforts and taps. Matt Brown def. Ryan Thomas via submission (arm-bar) -- Round 2, 0:57

-Alvin Robinson (155) vs. Mark Bocek (155)
R1 – Robinson pulls Bocek into his guard off of an early clinch. Bocek worked the pass to side control, but Robinson reverses. They briefly scramble up to their feet, but quickly hit the mat again with Bocek passing Robinson's guard to side control. Bocek lands a few forearms from side before Robinson attains full guard. Bocek passes to side again and then moves to north-south with a choke on, but can't finish the hold before the bell.
MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Bocek.

R2 – Good exchange of hands from both fighters to start off the round. They quickly hit the mat again with Bocek moving to side and dropping knees to the ribs and elbows to the face. Bocek locks on a north-south choke and Robinson rolls to try and escape but can't, as Bocek maintains the choke. Robinson somehow turns out of the choke, but Bocek stays tight and transitions to full mount, then back mount, working for the rear naked choke, a triangle body lock on. Bocek keeps working, but Robinson maneuvers out. Bocek nearly lands the omo plata, but Robinson gets fights his way out, nearly securing a guillotine choke of his own. Bocek then reverses into Robinson's guard to end the round.
MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Bocek.

R3 – Bocek scores early with a straight right hand and then drops Robinson to the mat with a double-leg takedown. Bocek again works out of Robinson's guard to side control. Bocek starting to score with short elbows to the head before moving to full mount. Bocek drops punches down and Robinson gives up his back in an attempt to escape. Bocek takes full advantage locking in the rear naked choke for the submission.

Stephens attempts a guillotine, but can't lock it and dos Anjos starts dropping elbows and punches, moving to north-south and back to side control. R2 – They start off round two trading strikes again. Stephens looks to have hurt dos Anjos a bit about a minute into the round and has him backing up, but the Brazilian shoots for a takedown. Stephen defends, buts gets scooped up and dropped, locked on tight to dos Anjos. dos Anjos escapes to Stephens' back and starts working for the rear naked choke. Stephens tries to escape, but dos Anjos nearly snags an armbar. Stephens defends and starts ground and pound from the guard. Stephens does a good job, scoring with elbows and punches.
MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Stephens.

R3 – Stephens comes in shooting for the moon and nearly knocks dos Anjos' head to it. Following a few brief measures of distance between the two, Stephens uncorks with a tremendous right uppercut that immediately drops dos Anjos to the mat for the knokcout.

Round 1
Hard kick to Riley’s body starts the fight. An inadvertent kick to Gurgel's groin stops the action. It was accidental. The fight continues. They go right at each other. Both swinging wildly with punches. The pace slows a bit. Huge right kick to Riley’s body. Riley is pressing the action. They trade leg and body kicks. Gurgel throws a series of kicks to Riley’s body and head but they are mostly blocked. Good back and forth action at the bell. 10-9 Gurgel.

Round 2
They pick up where they left off. Neither man wants the fight on the ground. They trade punches and kicks for two minutes. Gurgel trips and is down along the fence. Riley stands over him landing sporadic punches. Gurgel gets up. Big left hook to the jaw from Riley. It rattles Gurgel. Jorge is still throwing that right head kick over and over but Riley blocks it every time. Gurgel pressing the action, but both land hard punches. Inside leg trip from Gurgel with ten seconds left. Riley takes the frame, 10-9.

Round 3
Very close fight thus far. They come out banging away. Good action. Gurgel keeps trying that right head kick. Riley hurts Gurgel with a left head kick and Gurgel is pinned along the fence. Riley tees off but can't finish. He backs away and Gurgel looks okay. The pace slows as both men are tired. A lazy right leg kick from Gurgel allows Riley to trip him. Riley lands some punches but lets him up. Riley stuffs a double leg attempt. Riley lands two decent punches and misses a head kick at bell. Good fight. 10-9 Riley.
All three official judges see the contest 29-28 for Aaron Riley.
