if you look at the yankees championship years, rivera gave up like 1 earned run in his entire playoff career. post championship years he hasn't been the same or as automatic. they can go sign all the starting pitching they want but it won't help without a better bullpen.

imo they were better of signing krod adn one of aj and cc... and moving rivera up to set up man. Then sign a jamie moyer/maddux as the other sp.
