Why no thread on WEC tonight?

I just realized that WEC has an event tonight, Faber v. Jens.

WEC is the hockey of MMA. Yeah it's there, and it has some people who don't suck, and a decent fan base, but it's on Verses. I couldn't tell you when it's on, I only watch for the fighting, and most of all, meh.

It's an excellent event:

Cerrone vs Varner
Villefort vs Campbell
Avena vs Lennox

All those fights are close and should be exciting (Avena/Lennox might not be televised).


In addition they have:

Miura is fighting a guy who will want to bang with him, so that should be an excting fight.

Jose Aldo is a great prospect, who should dominate easily, but it will be fun to watch. LOL - one of the betting lines had him at +1000 - that's the largest I've ever seen for an MMA fight.

Njokuani is like a mini-Remy Bonjasky, but he also has decent defensive wrestling.

Valencia is fighting tonight, so I'll be hoping for another suplex. He's always in a good fight.

Prelims start a 7, and the televised portion starts at 9:30 (all eastern times).

Same here. Varner's good, but ever since he got a point taken away for running against Franca I haven't been a supporter of his. Also, when he called his mouthpiece timeout vs Razor Rob (when he was rocked and in big trouble) that was shitty, too.
