i'm trying to figure out how his fight w. Bonnar is going to go down - or more to the point: will Bonnar KO or Sub him? 1st or 2nd?

the kid's smart and has a great wrestling base, lots of raw talent , blah blah blah... but his striking is jacked and who knows where his BJJ is.

i hafta find the video of his UFC 87 fight. wish i marked my fucking tapes. all i remember are those long arms waving all over the place.

frankly, my biggest concern is that he's going to snap one of those gangly ass chicken legs on national TV.

he has good wrestling and heart but i don't think that's enough for Bonnar.

I've got Bonnar by second round sub.

I've got Bonnar winning too. The kid is gonna be good, but he's only been doing MMA for about a year. Also his striking is sloppy and he doesn't know how to use his height and reach properly yet, and there's no way he's better at bjj than Bonnar. Bonnar as a former Golden Gloves winner should be able to take advantage of his sloppy stand-up, or at least not get tagged with a loopy punch. It's way too early in his career to be in the UFC. His wrestling is very good though.

My only concerns with Bonnar are ring rust and injuries (and the lack of stamina normally associated with those two). Is he gonna come out like Showcan Hua did in his last two fights? The one thing he needs to avoid is the clinch - if he stays out of the clinch and doesn't gas he should be okay.

Even though every single one of Bonnar's subs are in the 1st round, I'm also taking Bonnar by 2nd round sub. I'm giving him a round to shake off the ring rust I guess. I might switch it to first round sub later, though.

I agree with most of that. I bet on Jones on the Playground due to his 3/1 odds and possibility of catching Bonner.

Bonner should have little problems in the fight, though.

I was thinking about first round sub too but I'll stick with 2nd

Bonner is not a strong starter. That's why I have rd 2.
