DreamFighters.com: WIll you be fighting at DREAM.7 ? If not, do you know when you will be fighting?

Sergei Kharitonov: I will be fighting april 5th, I do not know the oponent yet!

DreamFighters.com: Are you still going to fight for DREAM, or are you wanting to fight for Affliction MMA, or the UFC at all?

Sergei Kharitonov: I will fight in Dream but if good offers come from Affliction or Strikeforce, i will be there. UFC likes exclusivity and this is not possible for me!

Who else here think that Sergei is one of the greatest wasted talents in MMA? I do - I think he could have been top 3 in the HW division for a long time. His conditioning varies so much but with all the money to be made for top fighters these days, the fact that he's not an aboslutely ripped 6'4'' 235 to 240lbs is proof enough to me that his heart is really only half in the sport. He has gotten by in a number of fights on sheer talent and athleticism.

I realize he's training at Golden Glory - I'll need to see him in his next fight before I get a feeling for him. I'd like to see him train PURE boxing for a while - come into fights focused on combinations, accuracy, head movement and hand speed. His sambo/judo will take over in the necessary moments.

Back in the day during Pride's glory, Sergei threw perhaps the best body shots of anyone from 205lbs and up.

I really don't think he's all that good right now or even in the past couple years... I just think he had as much potential as anyone in HW's. He dispatched of Overeem pretty brutally a while back - same guy Crocop is saying can beat Fedor.
